A Job Well Done! Our student has remarkable results with Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture.

Dennis Grounin, an acupuncturist from Ottawa, Canada, who attended our workshop last month told us of his remarkable success with Zhu's Scalp Acupuncture. 

"Yesterday, I saw a 37 y.o . female at her home with severe low back pain for 10 days. Her pain was so excruciating that she could not move and stayed in her bed all 10 days. She visited emergency department twice where she was prescribed Hydromorphone 2mg every 2!!! hours ( it's a really big dosage) and Naproxen, but the effect was minimal. She had a history of multiple vertebral disc prolapses from L2 to S1 ( CT scan from 2006). She could walk to the washroom with a walker. On assessment- I couldn't palpate her spine because she reacted on very light touch with screaming.

I used 3 needles in Sa area and asked her to breath. In approximately 3 minutes she said that she is able to take deep breath and I was able to do light massage. 3 min later she was able to sit up and then to stand. At the end of the treatment she was able to move around without walker. All her family, patient herself and me was just in shock! No one expected to see the result so fast. I left her house approximately after 20 min of treatment. 
I called today and she said that she is totally OK, beside the slight pain to the Rt thigh. She already walked outside.
