 |  One of the things that sets Dr. Zhu & Dr. Moyee apart from most western doctors, is that they do not treat their patients as "numbers" but as individuals; and as such they do not only treat your ailment but also teach you how to have a healthy lifestyle, including eating the proper foods and herbal supplements. | I am a kidney failure patient. After 5-years waiting during dialysis, recently received the kidney transplant surgery. The surgery is successful; but post surgery side-effects gave me a lot of pains, but I got a new kidney. 6 weeks ago, I found so much pains suddenly hit me in my neck, shoulders, and my back. My neck was so weak that I was unable to support weight of my own head. I had to walk, or stand with my head lower to my chest. My relative introduced me to see Dr. Zhu, he uses scalp acupuncture to put needles into my scalp (which does not go into my brain). I saw Dr. Zhu a total of 10 times, and after 5 weeks, all those pains are gone, and I can stand and walk straight with my head up again. I started my Tai-Chi practice and my biking. | Title: Back Pain and Sciatica I have herniated disc and suffered from back pain and sciatica for over a year and it was making me miserable. I had tried Doctor’s, Chiropractors, Physio’s and none of it worked - my sciatic pain was unbearable. My neurosurgeon told me that the only cure for my pain is the surgery. However after extensive research I found a good percentage of people still suffer even after surgery. Then I was referred to Dr. Zhu for scalp acupuncture. At first I was skeptical about any traditional Chinese medicine and acupunctures. However I was so desperate and wanted to give it a try. I made an appointment and from the moment I stepped in to clinic I knew I had made the right decision. Dr. Zhu welcomed me in and explained which points he would be stimulating on my head and my back and how relaxing it would feel. He was right. Working on special points on my head and lower back and leg I felt a deep sense of peace as the muscles in my body relaxed and melted away stress and pain I was feeling. After a few sessions I noticed the pain in my leg reduced and I could walk better. Over the next few sessions Dr. Zhu continued to improve not only my leg and lower back but my energy levels and sense of well being. It was truly amazing. I'm now back to my happy life and normal daily activities. All in all, I would highly recommend Dr. Zhu to anyone interested in saying “no” to surgery and using an alternative form of medicine to treat back pain and sciatica. | Title: Seizures Our daughter Renee is a healthy and happy girl, just like any other six-year-old. When she was four months old, she experienced a series of seizures. It was suspected that she might have neurofibromatosis, in addition to symptomatic focal epilepsy with secondary generalization due to the presence of right posterior quadrant area of dysplasia. Her neurologist at the time prescribed Phenobarbital, an anticonvulsant barbiturate, to prevent the epilepsy. We were urged to keep her on the medication to prevent seizures that might hinder her long-term health. We were informed that if Renee stayed on the medication and did not experience another seizure by the age of three, an age when the brain is almost fully developed, she would not suffer from them in her future years. However, we learned that putting Renee on Phenobarbital at such a young age would possibly hinder her brain development. Hoping to find an alternative to keeping her on medication, we sought to find a possible cure in Chinese medicine. We found Dr. Ming Qing Zhu, a neuro-acupuncturist, who put Renee (who was about four and a half months at the time) on scalp acupuncture therapy, twice a week from the age of four months until the age of three. In that time, she did not experience another seizure and has not since. We are so thankful that Renee has since been free of seizures and long-term ailment. Renee is now six, free of seizures, with a fully normal and healthy brain development. She is in first grade now, and her teachers have commended her for being smart for her age. | Title: Multiple Sclerosis I have been a patient of Dr. Zhu and Dr. Moyee for about 4 years. I have seen miracles happen in their office. They have had patients who are wheelchair bound and after several sessions with Dr Zhu and his associates, the patients are able to stand on their own and in some cases have started to be able to walk again. I have multiple sclerosis so I come here to get my nerves to work better. I prefer to not know the science behind acupuncture because I don't want to overanalyze the process. I just know that if I am ever having an exacerbation, all I have to do is come to their office and the symptoms will start to clear up. I think one of the more amazing fixes was the last time I had optic neuritis. They got the grey spot to clear up much faster than the first time I had O.N. I was amazed by how little disability I was left with. They got the optic nerve to clear up much better than I expected it to. I routinely have background noise- goofy vision, fatigue, trouble walking, and trouble urinating. After a session, the background noise diminishes. I like to say that they keep me walking, seeing, and peeing. Dr. Zhu and Moyee are very knowledgable and kind. They intentionally make sure the pins do NOT cause pain. In fact, Dr. Zhu is the person who developed this particular scalp acupuncture technique so if you get treated by him, you are truly being helped by an expert. I highly recommend them to anybody I meet who has neurolgical challenges. Whether your illness is MS, ALS, or a stroke you should consider coming to their clinic to see if they can use pins to train your body to use its nervous pathways in a more productive manner. | I come here to treat my menopause and pains. I suffered badly from my tinnitus, back pain and sleeping disorder. I feel better after every treatment and after 10+ treatments my tinnitus improved significantly. My quality of sleep also improved a great deal! Overall I am feeling so much better. | Title: Spinal Core Injury My daughter has spinal cord injury by traffic accident. Zhu's excellent scalp acupuncture is very famous in Japan. So in April I took her to Zhu's Neuro Acupuncture Center from Japan in order to ask Prof. Ming Qing Zhu to treat her. A special feature of his treatment is scalp acupuncture with 6 hours of physical exercise. During the 10 days of treatment, he, such famous professor himself, assisted in the exercises and continued to encourage her to try more. I was deeply impressed by his eagerness. And Dr. Moyee and other staff were also very eager to cooperate to treat her. Of course, his scalp acupuncture is exellent. I'd like to express many thanks for his eager treatment. Because it already passed more than one year after her injury, at least one and half year's continuous exercise and treatment is neccesary. After returning back to Japan, my daughter is continuously executing exercise of Zhu's way which was learned from him. I'd like to keep contact with Prof.Zhu for his valuable guidance. | I am very impressed with the professionalism found in this clinic. I came with symptomatic high blood preassure: headache pressure on my head and neck pain. I didnt want to have to ask the doctor to increase my medicine. I came for a treatment that helped me immediately. I was not asked to return. These doctors are honest nd their objective is to help the patients. My ninety year old mother comes for her depressions, ache and pains and when she lacks energy. My mother has never left feeling dissappointed. We feel that accupunture helps her attain quality life. I am also grateful for the teaching that we receive..I have learned where to massage to lower the tension in my head. I highly recommend this clinic. | My son first got seizure every hour and each seizure lasted less than 30 seconds. He’s only 8 months old. After doing the acupuncture [after 2 treatments], he became better. Less seizure and his activities become normal like before. We will continue the treatment until he become better and the seizure gone totally. Latest update: Fikri is seizure-free since May 24, 09.
